Marital agreements

Prenuptial agreement: A legal and binding contract that persons intending to marry enter into prior to a marriage or civil union. The agreement is designed to establish the terms of separation in the event of the marriage dissolving. The elements of a prenuptial agreement can include almost anything.

Postnuptial agreements: Similar to prenuptial agreements but entered into after the parties have married. The only difference being that a postnuptial agreement takes place after marriage.
